As part of the accreditation process being conducted by the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ondokuz Mayıs University, a comprehensive information meeting was held on May 4, 2026, for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students. The event, organized to ensure active student participation and raise awareness, addressed the fundamental concepts of accreditation.
The meeting covered what accreditation is, its importance and purpose for our department, the work carried out to date, and planned activities for the future. The students' role in the accreditation process, the areas in which they can contribute, and the academic and professional gains this process will provide were also discussed. It was emphasized that students are important stakeholders in the accreditation process, which aims to raise the quality of education in the Midwifery Department to national and international standards.
The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session and a mutual exchange of views. As the Midwifery Department, we are resolutely continuing our quality-oriented work in the accreditation process together with all our stakeholders.
